Staffing updates for remainder of school year

Dear Brooks Community:

We wanted to take a moment to update you on staffing plans and changes for the rest of the school year. 

As you know, Principal Zucconi will be moving to a position in the District Office, and our Dean Shannyn Vehmeyer will be moving into the interim principal position. We would like to now announce that Brooks teacher Catherine Miroballi will be moving in to the Dean position on an interim basis, and WUSD’s district substitute Daniel Flores will be taking over Ms. Miroballi’s 4th grade class. 

Mr. Flores has stepped in for a long-term substitute position at Brooks before, and brings years of experience to the classroom. He and Ms. Miroballi will be working together to ease the transition for students and families, as she steps into her new role. 

All of these assignments are for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year. Any staffing vacancies will be hired for a permanent basis starting with the 2025-26 school year. As always, hiring will take place later this spring.
